What I did

I conducted a thorough UX Design audit that evaluated the at-the-time current Paramount website based on tried and true UX Metrics, as well as several Competitive Audits for comparison.

Context

I was a UX Designer on a new engagement with the Paramount company. Paramount consists of over dozens of brands of various media and entertainment content, and is currently reshaping how they present their various brands’ digital presence, as well as how they can effectively communicate business goals and accomplishments with investors of various expectations. My role was to begin analysis on industry competitors, as well as assist in exploration of new UX / UI presentations of content for future iterations.

Approach

I facilitated a site-wide Heuristics analysis of Paramount's Global website, which included UX best practices as well as how Paramount can effectively engage with the average consumer, as well as possible business investors.

Following this, I analyzed and documented several competitive / comparative companies and their digital presence across multiple industries, including: news, entertainment media, food/beverage, automotive, technology, and gaming. The Main focus was on how various companies present and document investor-oriented information and content, and how company initiatives and values are commonly communicated to consumers.

Execution

Following a complete analysis of Paramount Global's website and it's competitors, I then begun the generation of new design concepts through creative UI and Motion Design that would capture the average consumer’s imagination, and reduce initial bounce rates away from the Paramount site. While a more thorough overhaul and redesign would be required, this was done to capture the imagination of Paramount's key stakeholders and present new possibilities of what Paramount could be moving forward.

Conclusion

The final evaluation of Paramount Global's website as well as their competitors, in addition to the new Design Concepts presented, led to the further partnership with Paramount for our team to lead the redesign of Paramount Global's new website. The new and improved Paramount Global incorporates some of the design concepts initially presented to key stakeholders.
